Our President

Mr. Fulson has more than 15 years of experience in the affordable housing industry.  Prior to founding the company in 2003, he worked for the state housing finance agency. As a multifamily underwriter in the rental production department, Mr. Fulson gained experience in many of the industry debt and equity tools. Subsequently he went to work for a very successful development, construction and tax credit syndication firm. While there, he gained experience in the development of new construction and historic/low income tax credit development from a private sector perspective.  Mr. Fulson was also responsible for establishing the firm’s acquisition rehabilitation opportunities to increase development production into the tax exempt bond and 4% tax credit arena. He brings the advantage of having been involved on both the state agency and private sectors of the business. The family of companies has participated in the development of nearly 1500 affordable housing units.

Mr. Fulson has experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (both 4% and 9% credits), Historic Tax Credits,  HOME Investment Partnership Program, tax-exempt bond transactions, state fund balance loans, CDBG Funds, Section 8 Program, Section 202 housing,  Mark-to-Market Program and various other HUD financing programs.  Bringing together the knowledge of programs from the past and implementing current affordable housing programs is his unique perspective on the housing industry.

The companies have had particular success in the preservation of existing affordable housing. Although, major successes have been achieved in new construction and historic renovation transactions undertaken by the firm. Mr. Fulson has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO.
